While you can obtain historical and current market data on >1700 stocks in the ASX, we focus our research on those companies with regularly profitable returns in recent years. Currently, our analysts cover 400 Australian stocks.
For these companies, we offer four critical measures:
- Current and future valuations of stocks: Our analysts calculate the current and forecast value of a company’s shares. These calculations are based on the profitability of the company, and include consideration of consensus and our own analysts’ forecasts. Central to our philosophy, we allow you to compare the current ‘price’ of a share to our ‘valuation’, as well as the mean valuation of other broker research.
- Forecast dividend yield: By looking at a company’s history of dividend payments and our own and consensus forecasts, we calculate a forecast yield.
- Company Risk: What is the risk of a company? How sensitive is it’s valuation to changes in its business model?
- Company Financial Health: Based on a proprietary calculation using 45 different financial ratios, this measure is an important cross-check. A company may be ‘in value’ but is it in a sound financial health?
If our view changes on any of these measures, or, we place a stock ‘under review’, we will alert you to this, and provide an explanation for any changes in valuation.
In addition to our numeric research, we provide reporting and commentary on a large number of stocks, typically within the ASX 100, but with ~50 companies outside the ASX 100 as well. For these companies you will receive an explanation of our views on the stock, and why we derived a certain valuation.
